WHAT ARE UV DTF TRANSFERS?
🔥 UV DTF Transfers: No-Heat, All-Surface Stickers
-
UV DTF Transfers work like DTF on any hard surfaces—but requires no heat press! Think of them as traditional stickers, but seriously upgraded: each print gets a UV-cured varnish that locks in color and shields against scratches.
🔬 The Science Behind UV DTF Transfers
• UV-Cured Inks
Ultraviolet light instantly hardens the ink, fusing it to the film for rock-solid adhesion.
• Protective Varnish
A clear UV coat seals every design, keeping colours vivid and prints scratch-resistant.
💥 Key Benefits
• Durability
Fades, water, and scratch resistant—built for indoor and outdoor use.
• Vibrant Colours
UV curing amplifies pigment brightness for eye-catching, photo-quality prints.
• Versatile Applications
Stick on plastics, metals, glass, wood—you name it.
• Fast Turnaround
Instant curing means quicker production compared to traditional drying methods.
Perfect for branding, packaging, signage, and one-off personal projects—UV DTF transfers give you sticker-like ease with pro-grade performance.Looking to customise fabrics like t-shirts, tote bags, sweatshirts, pillowcases, cosmetic bags etc?

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What exactly are UV DTF transfers?
UV DTF (Direct-to-Film) transfers combine DTF printing with UV-curable inks. Your design is printed onto a clear film, cured instantly under UV light, then peeled and applied to substrates. You get DTF’s flexibility plus UV’s instant-dry, high-gloss finish.
How do UV DTF transfers differ from standard DTF?
• UV Curing vs. Heat Drying: Standard DTF relies on heat to set inks, while UV DTF uses ultraviolet light to cure them instantly.
• Surface Versatility: UV DTF works on hard surfaces like plastics, metals, glass—and even wood—without needing a heat press.
• Finish & Durability: UV-cured inks bond harder to the film, yielding a glossier look and higher scratch resistance.
Which surfaces can I apply UV DTF transfers to?
- Rigid Materials: Acrylic, aluminium, glass, plastic, ceramics etc
- Objects: Phone cases, water bottles, keychains, notebooks, mugs, tumblers, helmets, glass cups/cans etc
Do I need any special equipment?
The only items you will need are your blanks (keychain, glass can, tumbler etc) and either a debit card, mini squeegee or just your fingers to ensure full adhesion.
How long does it take to apply?
1–2 minutes of firm pressing of the transfer with your fingers, something like a debit card or mini squeegee, then a 15–20 minute rest before handling.
How durable are UV DTF transfers?
• Scratch Resistance: Hard-cured surface resists abrasion better than water-based prints like standard stickers.
• Water & Fade Resistance: UV-stable pigments retain colour under sunlight and moisture.
• Washability: Hand wash only in warm soapy water. Not suitable for any items with UV DTF Transfers on to go into a dishwasher or soaked in hot water for an extended time.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE FOR UV DTF TRANSFERS
Film Doesn’t Stick or Peels Immediately
Causes
• Poor surface preparation
• Expired UV DTF Transfers
Solutions
• Clean your blanks with water, do not use any alcohol on your blanks as that will interfere with the UV DTF transfer, ensure blanks are fully dry before applying.
• UV DTF Transfers only last for 12 months in storage. Use transfers that are in date. Wild Transfers do not sell any transfers that are older than 1 week.
Edges Lifting after Pressing,
Causes
• Inadequate burnish pressure or duration
Solutions
• Use your fingers, debit card or mini squeegee and apply firm, even pressure for at least 1-2 minutes.
Wrinkles or Air Bubbles
Cause:
- Trapped air during application.
Solution:
- Start applying pressure to one edge of the UV DTF transfer and slowly but forcefully smooth down the transfer toward the opposite side flattening out all bubbles as you go.
Transfer Peels or Lifts After Washing
Cause:
- Improper wash settings.
Solution:
- Hand wash finished item with UV DTF Transfer on in warm soapy water and air dry immediately after cleaning.
Surface Scratches Easily
Cause:
- Abrasive cleaning
Solution:
- Use soft cloths and mild detergents while cleaning final product with UV DTF Transfer on. Hand wash only and immediately let air dry after washing. Do not put final products with UV DTF Transfer on in a dishwasher or let soak for an extended period of time in hot water.
Fading from Sunlight Exposure
Cause:
- Extended UV exposure.
Solution:
- Whenever possible, keep finished items out of direct sunlight.
